SUFC Wine

WINEMAKING
This shiraz is sourced from two premium Australian grape-growing regions - the Hunter Valley and McLaren Vale where vines typically enjoy long growing seasons, mild temperatures and fertile soils, allowing the grapes to develop full and intense flavour. A small parcel has been matured in French oak to add texture and complexity.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Alcohol: 13.8%, pH: 3.50, acid: 6.2 g/L.
WINEMAKER’S NOTES
Red burgundy in colour, the wine has spicy plum and blackberry aromas. The palate is rich with vanillin oak flavours, with a hint of sweet berry tannins provide a velvety texture.
This shiraz has been made for immediate enjoyment, although it will age for two to four years if cellared in optimum conditions.
It is an ideal accompaniment to a wide variety of foods, especially hearty red meat dishes such as oven roasted leg of lamb, rare roast beef, wagyu burgers or mature cheddar cheese.
