Retired Wallabies and NSW Waratahs player, Dean Mumm, will hike to the North Pole in April 2018 to raise funds for Borne, a premature birth research charity. The foundation champions a cause close to home for Mumm and his family having lost two pre-term babies prior to the birth of their son Alfie in 2015.
As part of his fundraising efforts, an early Christmas family BBQ will be held at the No. 2 Oval, Sydney University, Regimental Drive, Camperdown between 10am and 2pm.
The day promises to be lots of fun with jumping castles, Bubble Ball, Plaster Funhouse, games and a BBQ. Former Australian International Cricketer Shane Watson and his wife, former Fox Sports Presenter Lee Watson, will be showcasing their business Let’s Activate and running sports clinics for the kids. There will also be a Santa sack lucky dip and the opportunity to write a letter to Santa, which Dean will (of course) hand deliver to the North Pole.
