Juniors

Sydney University Juniors is one of the 12 Junior Rugby Districts in the Sydney metropolitan area. We currently have two affiliated Junior Village clubs  in Canterbury and Petersham who provide the opportunity for young players to learn and play rugby from age 5 to 17 years. Both girls and boys are welcome.

Sydney University Juniors enter representative teams at the NSW State Junior Championships held in June each year. These are for ages 10 through to 17 and are very competitively contested by the Sydney District teams, 2 combined NSW Country teams and often Victoria and ACT selections.

If you want the opportunity to represent Sydney University at the junior ranks you will need to register and play with either of our affiliated junior clubs.

Canterbury JRU - Tevita Katafono tevita67@bigpond.com or 0418 623122
Petersham JRU - Andrew McKinney amckinney@iinet.net.au or 0433 792255

Sydney Uni Juniors welcomes coaching applications

With the growing success of Sydney University's Juniors Program there are opportunities for interested Coaches within the SUFC community to apply for a coaching position.

Sydney University Juniors have already had success in our short history of competition at this level with two State Championship trophies, Grand Finalists and Semi Finalists. The Representative period generally covers the period from April through to the Championships in early June. Coaches may want to run training sessions earlier in the year, particularly in older age teams.

For information on coaching opportunities with Sydney University Juniors please contact Ray Hudd 0424 180554 or huddprojects@gmail.com.

For other Uni Juniors enquiries please contact Richard Hayward 0411 488 544 or richard.hayward@hhmc.com.au.
