We are pleased to announce Guy Porter as 1st Grade captain for 2019. The 22 year old has been at SUFC since 2014 and already has a number of premiership titles under his belt! In 2018, Guy was named most promising player after an instrumental first season in the senior ranks which saw him and the team win the Shute Shield Premiership. The centre has shown maturity beyond his years and gained the respect of his peers to make him the ideal candidate for the captaincy role.
Matt Sandell will be Guy’s right hand man and takes up the Vice Captaincy role, Matt leads by example and lets his actions do the talking on the field. Congratulations to the duo!
