Congratulations to Rohan O’Regan (1st Grade), Iliseva Batibasaga (Women’s) and Vincent Creagh (Colts) who have been named as captains of their respected teams.
Rohan who led 1st Grade to their 2018 Premiership resumes his captaincy roll after playing professionally in the UK last season before returning towards the back end of the year to be a part of the back-to-back Shute Shield titles. Rohan has developed through the Club’s junior program before joining the senior teams in 2013, he has now played 69 1st Grade games. Rohan is an outstanding leader who everyone at the Club looks up to.
Iliseva is one of our most experienced and decorated players across both the men’s and women’s programs, having representated Australia in both XVs and 7s her knowledge of the game is second to known. She has become a natural leader and mentor for our growing women’s program and we know Ili will excel in her captaincy roll.
Vinnie, in just just his second year at the Club is everything a Colts captain should be, a really character amongst the group and leads by example on the field. He’s fitted into the Club seamlessly and is well respected by the senior players, we’re excited to see him continue to grow and develop into a leader of the Club for many years to come.
We know the teams are in safe hands we this trio in charge!
