The Annual SUFC Jersey Calcutta aims to raise money for the Club, directly benefiting the players in an exciting way which also provides you with an opportunity to earn some impressive winnings!
Bids are welcome from all SUFC supporters on 1st Grade jerseys 1-15, the aim is to choose which jersey you think will be awarded the most best and fairest points at the end of the season (you are purchasing a jersey number and NOT a particular player). Bids can be from an individual or a syndicate, the reserve bid is $250 for jerseys 6-15 and $500 for the tight five*.
How it works:
For the 13 rounds (plus finals) of the 2020 Shute Shield the 1st XV Coaches will judge which jersey receives 3, 2 or 1 Best & Fairest points. Note: If a player is replaced during a match, the replacement player assumes the number of the original player for the purposes of the competition.
At the end of the playing season (including finals), the jersey number who have accumulated the most Best and Fairest points will be announced the winner of the Jersey Calcutta.
The 15 jersey purchasers will be announced on Monday 20th July and will receive an SUFC jersey, 1st place in the Jersey Calcutta will win 25% of the prize pool, second place will receive 10% and third will receive 5%.
Just remember – the more bids, the larger the winnings!
The winning jersey will be announced at our annual presentation night at the end of the season. .
*The Tight Five Club – purchasers of Jersey 1-5 will also receive a boardroom lunch at KPMG with SUFC Representative players. A Suitable date will be arranged with all parties. (Limited to 10 people – 5 winners, 4 players and a host).
