We are pleased to announce Darcy Creagh, Freya Clayhills and Patrick O’Doherty as our Club Captains for 2022.
Pat will take the reins for Grade, as one of the longest standing players at the Club it is great to see him take on this leadership role for 2022. Pat continually drives high standards for himself and the team, he has great rapport with players, staff and volunteers alike, and has proved countless times he will go above and beyond for the Club.
Freya was a natural fit to lead the Women’s program, given her energetic and charismatic personality, she is respected by all and having been involved with SUFC for 7 years, she has a great understanding of the standards and values SUFC sets for our players both on and off the field and will be a big driver of this throughout the squad.
Darcy joined the Club in 2021 and is now following in his brother Vincent’s footsteps as the Colts Club Captain. As a second year Colt, Darcy’s maturity and natural leadership skills stands out and we know hewill bring valuable experience and knowledge of SUFC’s culture to a young Colts group.
All three have been influential in driving the club culture, standards, and team morale during their time at SUFC and we have no doubt they will all to a great job leading the playing group in 2022. Congratulations to Darcy, Freya and Pat here’s to a big year on and off the field.
