Today marks the 15th day after the Australian Club Championship, when players and supporters came in close contact with a member of our playing group, 24 hours prior to him becoming symptomatic with what was later confirmed to be COVID-19.
SUFC wishes to advise our community that approximately 140 players, volunteers, supporters and staff were advised by NSW Health to enter self-quarantine, with only one person subsequently testing positive to COVID-19. We are pleased to advise both players are now at full health.
This experience brought great camaraderie from all parts of our community and SUFC wishes to thank all affected by this for their understanding and positivity. We ask all to remain vigilant concerning COVID-19 prevention and if symptoms arise, please self-isolate and seek medical advice immediately.
