When the Colts finished their Grand Final on Sunday at Coogee Oval we had won our 156th premiership. Our 1st XV recorded their 50th competition since 1865, our 1st Colts have won their 18th Premiership from 24 appearances in the big one. All colts wins in Grand Finals is now exactly 50. The weekend was almost perfect winning the 1st, 2nd, 4th grades with 3rd missing by two points on the scoreboard and Sunday our Colts beating Randwick at Coogee Oval 34-17, to end their 2 year winning streak. We have one more chance for a  sixth Premiership with the Ladies in the GF next weekend verses Randwick.

James Kane for the third season in row reached his 200 points. He is now on 454 1st Grade career points, his career points stands at 1065, since 2015 Colts.

A few milestones were achieved during weekend matches, with James Dargaville scoring his 60th career try in 1sts victory, which gave him his 300th career points also. It was his 30th 1st Grade try which gave him 150 points in that grade.

Connor O’Shea celebrated his 50th Club game scoring a try, 2 goals and a pen goal in 2nd Grade’s big win. But that wasn’t just a try it was the Club’s 450th this season, and we ended up on 454 tries by our 4 teams.

While our 3rd Grade team lost its GF, they were Minor Premiers and scored the most tries out of the 4 teams with 135.

One of the 3rd Grade team Jack Stanford scored his 40th career try and 200 points.

Will Wennerbom finished the season on 333 points which included 25 tries, 86 goals and 12 p.goals which put him upto 728 career points. Next year he should reach another milestone early as he is second only to Greg Thompson (1998-2004) for highest lower grade career points scorer with just 15 points. Greg has been on 613 since moving on 15 years ago. Will is on 598 with matches between 5th and 2nd grades.

In the ‘Brother’s Try scoring competition, the winners are the Whiteley boys on 17 followed by the Calavassy on 13, Schwager on 11, Renton on 10, Farnell on 6, O’Doherty on 6 and on 5 the Dunbars.

In Colts, Harry Wilson ended up on 217 season points and Colts highest point scorer for 2019. Max Robson ended on 194 points which includes 26 tries and the highest Colts try scorer this year. Papillion Sevele reached his 50 points for the season with 2 tries.
