Did you know:

That since we started playing Parramatta we have met 164 times for 115 wins, 46 losses 3 draws and 2 unknown scores, which takes our success rate to 72.67% against the Two Blues.

On Saturday we achieved 7 bonus points wins, we scored 66 tries (in Grade/Colts) and had just 14 scored against us. 2nd Grade scored 15 tries and 2nd Colts scored 14 in their game. We got a further 3 penalty tries (now 18) and our backs scored 42 of the 66 club tries.

We are now 198 points from our nearest rival Warringah in the Club Championship, 223 from 3rd place Easts and 273 from 4th place Eastwood. Next week with the bye weekend we will pick up a further 215 points (maximum for the round).

Lots of good scoring from the players in Grade and Colts with Sam Renton scoring 2 tries and kicking 10 goals and 1 pen goal for 35 points, which brought up his 350th career point at Uni.  Next there is Will Wennerbom who scored 2 tries and 10 goals for 30 points. Fourteen players scored a double in both Grade/Colts with a 5/9 ratio to the young guys. Big scorers in the Colts were Aidan Peek who scored a try and 12 goals for 29 points, (his 12 goals is the 4th highest scored in Colts records), while Max Robson is now on 173 points this season with a further 2 tries and 5 goals which makes him the 15th highest point scorer in Colts records) still with games to go.

Two players scored a triple in Alex Macdonald (Grade) and Connor Grindal (Colts). Of the 15 2nd XV tries scored, the backs scored 11 and all of the backs scored at least one try each. 2nd Grade also scored their 100th try this year when Harrison Blake crossed.

With all these points being scored on Saturday, we must remember that a lot of our strike power haven’t played recently and these player are Nathaniel Tamwoy, James Kane, Matt Dowsett, Connor O’Shea, Ben Hughes, Tom McFayden, Harry Potter, Will McDonnell and Danial Poletto who between them have scored 53 tries this season.

In Colts four players reached or passed 50 points for the season, they were Ed Renton, Mitieli Tuinakavadra, Reihana Leui’i and Eddie Poolman. Aidan Peek is our second Colt to reach a century this year and is now on 108 points.

Congratulations to Will Terry who not only made his Grade debut but in the 1st XV as well.

While one player started his Grade debut, two will bring up their 50th Club game verses Souths at Sylvania, they are Jack Bliss and Matt Sandell.

Brad Wilkin became our 1800th Super Rugby match player when he went on against the Brumbies Saturday night.

An equal record was also achieved for SUFC in the Waratah match with six Uni forwards on the field at the same time, they are Harry Johnson-Holmes, Tolu Latu, Paddy Ryan, Brad Wilkin (Waratahs) Folau Fainga’a and Sam Carter (Brumbies).
