Fizza's Facts & Stats, Round 18 2019

Some may play 200 games, some may play for 200 minutes, but our club has a person who last weekend coached his 200th win as a Coach. Congratulations must go to 2nd Grade leader Ray Hudd who reached that feat on Saturday, Ray has coached 254 games for SUFC. For 200 wins, 47 losses (some were grand finals) and 7 draws. ‘Huddy’s’ success rate is currently 81.50 %. Not bad, and a terrific person as well.

Jake Gordon ran on for his 75th 1st Grade game and scored his 4th try in the 4 games he has played this season.

Angus Bell (Prop) scored his first try in the main game, his 5th this season after representing Australia in the Under 20’s World Cup recently.

Ben Hughes scored two tries in 1st Grade’s victory over Norths. His first brought up his 400 career points and his second was a gem 75 metre intercept on the bell.

In the same game Harry Potter also scored a double to bring up his 300 career points and his 50th career try.

When Banjo Travers replaced Jake Gordon in the 1st Grade game he didn’t realise when he ran to score one of our ten tries, it was the Club’s 350th try this year.

Nathaniel Tamwoy scored his tenth try this season to bring up his 50 points in 2019.

While young Will ‘Bomber’ Wennerbom pasted his 650 career points in 4th’s lost. He is now on 257 points this year and past his personal best 245 from last season.

Next week will be a celebration for 5 players, Nick Champion de Crespigny and Matt Sandell shall play their 50th 1st Grade match and Tom Willson, Banjo Travers and James Dargaville will bring up their 50th Grade game.

Lots of things happening in our Colts ranks, with a record score against Norths after their 69-0 victory. The old record set in 2008 was 73-6. This is the 4th occasion 1sts Colts have broken best score results this year, so far.

Max Robson (pictured) on the left wing scored yet another 4 tries in a game, plus a goal. He is now on 22 tries some 7 ahead of Eddie Poolman. Max is on 174 for the season.

Harry Wilson, score 17 points in the big win with a try and 6 goals and is right behind Max on 170 points this year.

Our Colts scored 23 tries to Norths 6, and our three backlines scored 18 of these.

Come to our last game at Concord Oval next week, where you will get in for free and maybe you will witness the clubs 16th Club Championship in a row. Concord Oval will be closed for two years, as its being refurbished.
