Did you know:

Our 1st XV has set 5 new records this season, and another two on the weekend.

They broke the highest score against Many (47), beating 46 set in 1962 and again in 2001. They also beat the biggest aggregate in a game was (73) on 2001, now the aggregate is 78.

Seven players scored on Saturday in 1st Grade with six of these being in last years Grand Final. The timing seems about right.

Ben Carolan scored the Clubs 400th try with 3 dummies on the way to the try line.

Guy Porter scored 1st Grade’s 100th try for the season.

Matt Sandell reached his 50th 1st grade game from the bench, after a couple of weeks out injured.

While next week Henry Clunies-Ross could make his 50th 1st Grade game.

After his first appearance in the 1st XV back in 2015, Ben Hughes reached his career 50 points with a try and goal in the main game. Ben has had many injuries in between in this period.

Will Wennerbom created his own history in 4th grade verses Gordon. He is now the new record holder of most points scored in a season by a lower grade player 297. The record (295) was held by Justin Bosilkovski in 2010. The record by Will is also the highest in a season by anyone (including 1st Grade) with James Kane breaking the old record only last year with 241 in 1st Grade. With a game and hopefully two left to play, young Bommer has 692 career points and is currently 5th highest lower grade point scorer.

James Kane moves closer to his second year of 200 1st Grade points and is on 189, after converting 5 tries on Saturday.

Declan Moore needs two more tries for his career 200 points and 40 tries, for those don’t know Declan is a hooker.

In Colts at the weekend all 3 teams through to the next round of finals (like grade all 4) still alive.

How do you score 8 tries and 6 goals and score 52 points and still loss? Well that’s what Manly 1st Colts did on the weekend. Uni kicked a penalty goal that got them home 55-52 and they also got 8 tries and 6 goals. Hate to be the player who gave the penalty away.

Harry Wilson kicked 6 goals and that penalty goal to take him to 199 Season points. Not a bad effort with the wind through NSW last week.

Max Robson scored another try to reach his 100th season point. He is now on 17 tries with Eddie Poolman.

Vincent Creagh brought up his 50 points for this season, with a try in 1sts Colts to take him to 52 points.
