Henry Clunies-Ross | 100 Grade Games

Congratulations to Henry Clunies-Ross who will run out for his 100th Grade game on Saturday at North Sydney Oval.

Henry joined SUFC in 2013 when he moved from Canberra to study at USYD, that year he was a star for 1st Colts, unfortunately, he got appendicitis two days before the Grand Final and couldn’t play. Since 2014 he has played in  Grade, making his 1st Grade debut during Round 2, 2014.

As well as achieving this big Club milestone, Henry has a decorated representative career, having had stints with the Aussie 7s, the NSW Waratahs, NSW Country Eagles and the Sydney Stars, and in 2016 he spent a season with French Top 14 side, Lyon.

Henry returned to Australia and SUFC midway through the 2017 season, and went on to win the Colin Caird Shield with a record win over Eastwood in 2nd Grade at North Sydney Oval.

In 2018 he was part of the Shute Shield wining team another record GF win at North Sydney Oval, and he made it back-to-back Premiership titles in 2019 after defying the odds when he suffered a horrendous leg injury during Round 1.

Henry currently sits on 75 1st Grade games, and at a youthful 27 years, he’s likely to reach 100 1st Grade games next season (the last person to each this was Jeremy Tilse in 2013).

Henry is a true Clubman, and it’s wonderful to see him achieve this feat at a ground he’s no stranger to!

Congratulations Daddsie, enjoy your day.
