The Students took on the Melbourne Rebels A on Saturday for the first official hit out of the season. Dusting off the cobwebs the boys in Blue & Gold put in a solid first half performance to lead 10-0. The forwards did the brunt of the work with tries to newbie Mitch Ryan and Papillon Sevele.
Melbourne came back in the second half, picking up two tries of their own, before the Students put them to the sword with their rauling maul. Ciaran Loh and Jack Davis.
