The Mounted Police look over the Police and Firies curtain raiser game – always an exciting battle!

For our fixtures against West Harbour on Saturday afternoon, SUFC put on its Juniors and Services Day – an excellent day out for the whole family, with so much to see and do!

We were joined by a number of our Service men and women for the day including the Police Public Order and Riot Squad and the Mounted Police, but we were also lucky enough to have the Police and Firies play in a curtain raiser to our 1st Grade game (with the Firies taking home the silverware 17-14). We also can’t forget a visit from Constable Charlie the Police Penguin!

On top of all that, the kids enjoyed a special jumping castle, free fairy floss and face-painting! All to accompany the great day of rugby!

Thank you to all involved in making the day successful, including all our Services who attended for involvement in the community. A special thank you must also go to Bruce “China” Lin for his assistance in making it all possible.

We look forward to bringing it all to you again next year!

The Police Public Order and Riot Squad provided our young (and old) supporters with an opportunity to get up close to their equipment and learn about what they do.

Constable Charlie the Police Penguin with some of our Ball Kids – smiles all round!

Did someone say free Fairy Floss? Jorden Mose, our injured Colts player, worked hard on the Fairy Floss machine all afternoon.
