SUFC will play in their first trial game for 2016 this Friday night at Kippax Oval, Moore Park against the NSW Under 20s. Kicking off at 5.30pm, the SUFC team will include a number of familiar faces, as well as some boys that will be pulling on the Blue and Gold hoops for the very first time. One thing in common amongst the group though is that they have all been working incredibly hard during the pre-season and can’t wait to start translating that into games.
There seems to be a very strong SUFC presence through the NSW Under 20s side too, with 12 SUFC boys having trained with the squad over the summer; Saiosi Halaifonua, Lachlan Swinton, Guy Porter, Harry Johnson-Holmes, Connor O’Shea, Max Girdler, Tom Horton, Theo Strang, Richard De Crespigny, Tim Clemments, Will McDonnell and Declan Moore. The side is also co-coached by former SUFC 1st Grade Coach, Chris “Nobby” Malone.
It looks to be an exciting evening, and a great way to start the trial period – so if you are looking for something to do to finish the working week, come on down and support the boys. Everyone welcome!
