Good Friday saw the rematch between Sydney University and the Warringah Rats. Unfortunately the tough, gallant rodents from the northern beaches could not register on the scoreboard and were defeated by a red hot Students fifteen by 50-0.

Sadly, Lloyd McDermott (“Mullenjaiwakka”) passed away last Saturday, 6 April 2019.
It has been 84 years since Easts 1st XV have scored their highest point score over the Students. Back on the 17th August 1935 at No.1 Oval they had a 43-5 victory, which was a record till last weekend.
The sun was shining, the ladies were perched along the eastern boundary and the grandstand was packed to the rafters with colourful identities from both clubs. The only thing missing was a victory.
